Music Time With Daddy

Irelyn loves to sit in her little lamb seat and listen to daddy sing and play on the keyboard. That's what they are doing right now, so I thought I would write about that. It is really cute to watch her sit there. She plays with the little lamb toy for a while and then smiles at Casey when he sings to her. I'm certain that someday it is going to turn into a writing session in which Casey writes sentimental songs about her, you know the kind... like the songs that Steven Curtis Chapman and Michael W. Smith are famous for... where the little girls are getting all dressed up, twirling in their ballerina dresses, and giving butterfly kisses... those songs that I always have to turn down when they come on the radio to avoid the emotional breakdown that is soon to follow. It's actually choking me up just writing about it =) For now it's just Daddy and Irelyn together time, but when that day comes I will probably have to listen to his songs when no one else is around... it'll be better for everyone that way.

Sometimes Irelyn gets to sit with daddy at the keyboard... yes, he has a song playing in his ear and he is playing it as he hears it... it blows my mind when he sits at the keyboard and starts playing a song we just heard.

Irelyn likes to help... I think at this point she's getting too big for daddy to hold while he plays... she knows what she wants, and she wants those white and black keys to play loud!

I think it's cute because you can totally tell by Irelyn's reaction when Casey is turned toward her =) (And I'm super pumped because I figured out how to get the video into the blog!)

Now little punkin head is in bed... smelling sweet with downy soft hair. She got a bath after their music time, just wait til I write about bath time! Combine soap, water, and her duckie and she is a wild woman!

P.S. Now I am closing this blog and I guess the talk about those sentimental songs has out of the blue left me with "Sir I wanna buy these shoes, for my mother please... I want her to look beautiful, when mama meets..." Well, you probably know the rest, and if you don't that's ok, because everyone who does know it, now has it in their head too. Talk about a sad song nightmare! Definitely not one that I look forward to hearing at Christmastime! Casey is helping now to change that tune in my head... he is practicing for Hilary's wedding!

For some I heard the link to the video from the last blog was not working... here it is again... I'm still considering whether youtube is necessary or not, but we shall see:
